Job Title: Senior Firewall Administrator
Reports To: Director of Technology Services
Department: Information Technology

Job Summary:
The Senior Firewall Administrator monitors and manages network & firewall infrastructure
solutions, including virtual systems in the cloud. This includes collaboration, planning and
coordination of network and security projects
Responsibility for applying and optimizing methods to defend against attacks
Participation in the creation and updating of security concepts for stable network operation
and support during IT audits
Creation and maintenance of network plans and documentation

Primary Responsibilities
• Ensure logical security requirements are met based on standards such as enterprise, VISA, MasterCard and PCI.
• Monitor network activity and promptly resolve high level alerts.
• Install, configure, and manage network devices such as firewalls, switches, and routers (ideally from Palo Alto Networks, Juniper Networks, and/or Check Point vendors).
• Architect network infrastructure based on business requirements and standards.
• Perform vulnerability and penetration assessments for the network
• Centralized protocol management for all network devices
• Establish VPN, trunk and IPSEC tunnels with customers.
• Manage network devices to ensure security and performance
• Troubleshooting network-related issues
• Supporting cloud networks (virtual private networks)
• Perform appropriate change management process for network devices
• Manage and monitor the intrusion prevention system
• Manage the centralized cloud-based Proxy solution
• Documenting and maintaining network diagrams and configuration changes
• Implementing new solutions and maintaining an up-to-date network infrastructure
• Collaborate with the global IT team
• Perform monthly maintenance (on weekends)

Secondary Responsibilities
• Provide on-call support
• Assist Help Desk and Server Administrators
• Participate in logical security

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements:
• University Degree in the field of Computer Science
• Certification in Networking and Firewalls
• 3 years or more experience in administrating Juniper, Palo Alto and Check Point Firewall
• 3 years or more experience in administering Cisco Network switches and routers
• Working experience in STRM, PRTG and IDP monitoring systems
• Experience in secure tools such as Tripwire, Nessus, NetMRI, Qualys and Nagios
• Good verbal and written communication skill in English
• Experience in setting up secure Wi-Fi network
• Experience in change management
• Proven interpersonal, analytical, presentation and problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize with attention to details
• Self-motivated team player with ability to interact in a collaborate manner
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
• Experience and knowledge on Cyber Security
• Experience in common client applications such as MS Office, Lotus Notes, IE, PGP and SharePoint
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Responsible to maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions:
• Safety Shoes/boots is mandatory on Production/Manufacturing floor
• Limited travelling is required
• Providing Level 3 support after-hours

Physical Requirements:
• Available to work flexible hours and weekends to conduct maintenance and upgrades
• Able to rack servers and networking devices
• Able to manage network cabling for the servers
