PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Run infrastructure routers, switches, and network services
Build and maintain solutions for deployment, monitoring, and operations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis
Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation
Build and manage a reliable network for iVedha and our customers
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for smart people who can quickly learn and apply new technologies to solve problems.
For us, it’s more important to understand how things work rather than to know a particular vendor’s
command set. Hands-on professional experience is required with the general technologies, but we’re
flexible on the specific products and tools
The following are required core skills:
Strong network engineering experience managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers and
switches in IP networks. Juniper experience is strongly preferred.
Strong experience with routing protocols (ie BGP, ISIS, OSPF) utilizing an MPLS environment;
including design work within the Core infrastructure (3 years)
Experience working with and using Linux (2-3 years)
Scripting/Automation –; scripting using code like Perl, Bash. Great If they have some experience
with orchestration, automation, and configuration management using tools like Puppet, Chef,
Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
Strong knowledge and experience with IP networking – dynamic routing, switching, monitoring,
IP address management, troubleshooting (3-5 years)
Experience with network security tools such as firewalls – (1 year)
Knowledge of best practices and experience with IT operations in an always-up, always-available
service
The following skills and experience are optional, but the successful candidate will have several:
Strong experience with monitoring and metrics.
Experience building automated deployment and configuration systems using infrastructure-as-
code patterns.
Datacenter operations, procedures, best practices. Network cabling, AC/DC power, and cabling
