Job Description
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and monitoring the infrastructure and systems
that support private & public cloud service offerings. This role requires a highly motivated individual
with strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced
environment. The Systems Administrator will participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support –
primarily driven by systems and application support.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 5 years working in the IT field
At least 2 years experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (2013/2016) technologies in an
administrative role
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Ability to perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting potential system problems and
identify mitigation/correction strategies
Strong desire to learn and implement new technologies
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
Experience and competency in planning and executing migrations from on-premises e-mail
platforms (such as Microsoft Exchange Server) to Office 365
Experience securing Microsoft Office 365 and implementing multi-factor authentication
Experience with Azure migration and Azure disaster recovery
Experience with Azure governance and policy implementation
Deep knowledge of e-mail protocols, DNS, MX records, SPF, DKIM, etc.
Strong skillset in troubleshooting mail flow and Microsoft Exchange / Office 365 issues
Experience with Microsoft Terminal Services
Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and
implementation.

Experiencing working with a variety of operating systems and platforms
Excellent working knowledge of Windows platforms – MCSE Preferred
Hands-on Experience with virtualized infrastructure (VMWare, HyperV, Azure, AWS)
Server and application backup and restoration (Veeam experience preferred)
Expert working knowledge (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and
troubleshoot) Windows-based systems and services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, MS-SQL, NPS, etc.
TCP/IP networking (Routing, VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, Load Balancing, IPsec VPN, etc.)
Responsibilities
Manage, monitor and maintain Microsoft Exchange hosting environment from end-to-end
including network, virtualization and application layer
Migrate clients from our Exchange hosting environment to Office 365 as required
System administration and maintenance of our hosted infrastructure (on-premise & cloud)
Configure and manage appropriate monitoring mechanisms to ensure availability of network,
server and application infrastructure
Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory including replication, overall directory health,
management of objects (users, groups, computers, etc.)
Handle support escalations from level 1/2 support, occasionally interacting directly with
customers and resellers
Perform network and application audits for customers on an ad-hoc basis, producing detailed
reports of findings and recommendations
Design, document, plan and execute major systems upgrades (such as Exchange, SharePoint)
Ensure continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end
users and monitoring of systems performance
Participate in creation of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
Provide documentation and training for Junior technicians and Sales Operations staff on Office
365/Exchange – including migration procedures and operational management
